Those projects that go on and on...
Building a garage takes time, and now that we enter the rainy season, this project has taken over my life and seems like it will never end.
A few weeks ago, I posted about building a garage as a product manager. I took last week off work to do this with the help of a couple of friends. We made good progress in four days, and then it rained for the next four days, proving that even the best plans of Product Managers can easily be disrupted.
This project started with plans a few years ago and has evolved many times. We finally broke ground to have the foundation poured in July. There is a lot of work yet to do, and even after the outside is done, there will be plenty to do inside over the winter months.
While the weather is nice again, I am still spending mornings and evenings working on this project and have yet to have the time to write. For today’s post, I just wanted to give you all a quick update (see photo for our four-day progress). For next week, I’m working on a very personal post about working and adapting to life with a chronic illness. I hope you’ll tune in for that.
While you’re here, I encourage you to check out my first post in 2021 before joining Substack. It started my “as a product manager” type of posts.
